As soon as the call gets disconnected, I feel a surge of uncontrollable rage coursing through my veins. I grab the nearest computer with trembling hands and, with all my might, hurl it against the wall. The satisfying sound of the crash fuels my anger further. Without pausing to take a breath, I snatch another computer and repeat the violent act, the equipment shattering into pieces. Then another. And another. Sam, seated in the corner, suddenly leaps up from his chair as if he has been electrocuted, his eyes wide with shock and fear. I do not stop my rampage until I have toppled the entire table, sending all the expensive and delicate equipment clattering to the floor in a cacophony of destruction. Still, my anger does not subside, burning hotter and more fiercely inside me.
